Lake Creek Brand Story
Committed to making wines of uncompromising quality, Mike and Ken Flesch purchased 31 acres of land in Marthasville, Missouri. The land sits on the bluffs above the Missouri River valley where a unique combination of silty loam soils and the river basins weather climate create an ideal environment for growing and producing Missouri wines. For several years the brothers have slowly and carefully cultivated their vineyards in anticipation of opening Lake Creek Winery. The Winery takes its name from the early German settlements founded in what is now the towns of Marthasville and Dutzow. While working the property’s fledgling vineyards, the brothers added two more partners, Henry Slodkowski and Don Flesch and began rehabbing the farmhouse and surrounding buildings. Together they have developed Lake Creek Winery into a first-class hospitality operation. It boasts a circa 1870’s farmhouse, complete with a beautiful covered deck, patio seating areas, pergola and pavilions, all with spectacular views of the vineyards, the river valley, the Katy Trail and the rolling hills of Warren County Missouri. The partners have many years of hospitality experience and Lake Creek reflects this offering a warm, friendly, full-service winery experience. When you come to Lake Creek Winery you will find a serene country experience with unsurpassed views of the countryside, excellent entertainment, great German style food, and an excellent selection of wines; but most of all, warm, friendly hospitality and service. Lake Creek Winery is the perfect place to kick back and unwind with your family and friends. Whether on a date or with a group celebrating a special occasion, we hope Lake Creek Winery will be your favorite place to go, unwind and enjoy life.
